Laboratories
The Laboratory of Language Analysis and Resources was established to host and provide access to key language resources, corpora, and datasets used in linguistic research, developed both at the University of Pavia and at other institutions. These resources include synchronic and diachronic corpora of written and spoken language, specialized corpora and databases produced by the department’s staff, as well as advanced text-search softwares and linguistic databases.
The Computational Philosophy Laboratory (CPL), founded in 1994 at the Department of Philosophy (now the Department of Humanities, Philosophy Section) of the University of Pavia, is a research center dedicated to Philosophy, Epistemology, Logic, and related areas of Cognitive Science.
The Phonetics Laboratory of the Department of Humanities at the University of Pavia serves as a dedicated teaching and research space. It acts as a hub and resource center for students and faculty engaged in the study and analysis of the spoken dimension of language.
The Laboratory of Experimental Linguistics and Language Education (LLEGS) conducts behavioral and physiological research on first and second language acquisition, implicit language representations, and language processing. It also investigates the interface between guided instruction and the acquisition of Italian as a second language. Implicit data are gathered from population samples and analyzed using advanced statistical and computational models
Sezione di Scienze storiche e geografiche - I locali della sezione ospitano un cospicuo fondo di materiali microfilmati che riproducono sistematicamente una documentazione archivistica di grande rilievo storico inerente alle dominazioni spagnola e austriaca in Lombardia, i cui originali sono conservati in Spagna e in Austria; le riproduzioni sono consultabili con strumentazione tecnologicamente avanzata, che ne consente non solo la stampa, ma anche la digitalizzazione.
Officine Creative è centro studi e laboratorio di produzione per le arti visive e performative. Dotato di attrezzature professionali e di un auditorium, si occupa prevalentemente di sviluppo di progetti audiovisivi e teatrali, di didattica e di ricerca sul campo.
